Advisory Board

The Campus Center Advisory Board will provide advice to the Campus Center Director and staff on policies, procedures and opportunities to best serve the IUPUI campus community. The Campus Center staff will bring issues to the Advisory Board for discussion and recommendations; the members of the Advisory Board can also bring issues, ideas and suggestions to the Board meetings or meet with the Director in between meetings.

Membership

The Campus Center Advisory Board membership will consist of eight (8) students and six (6) faculty and staff members. The members will be appointed by the following organizations for alternating two year terms:

  • the Undergraduate Student Government, the Graduate Student Organization, the Student Activities Programming Board and the Campus Center will each appoint two students each;
  • the Faculty Senate will appoint three faculty members; and,
  • the Staff Council will appoint three staff members.

Board members may be re-appointed to a second two year term but will have to wait a minimum of one year before being reappointed for a third two-year term. The Campus Center Director will serve as the advisor to the Board and a student will be elected as the chairperson of the board. The term of the chairperson will be for one year and the student can be re-elected by the board members for one consecutive term.

Meeting Schedule

The Campus Center Advisory Board will meet four times a year with the option for additional meetings if requested by the chairperson or the Director. The meetings will take place in September, November, February and April.

Committees

The Campus Center Advisory Board and the Director can create committees of the Advisory Board for special projects. The committee meetings will meet as necessary in between the regular scheduled full Advisory Board meetings.


Partners Group

Mission: To explore shared resources, use of space, input on the development of Campus Center policies and procedures, support for programs and services in and around the facility, supporting and creating traditions on campus, collaborations across campus and so forth. To discuss what is working and not working in the facility and explore ways to support new initiatives to enhance campus community. To increase and maintain effective two way communication amongst the departments.

Meeting Schedule

The last Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm in Distinguished Alumni Board Room.

Corporate Partners

Private funds must be secured in order to support Campus Center student and community outreach programming as well as facility enhancements not provided for by state funding and student fees.

Donors to the Campus Center may choose to provide current or endowment support for Cultural Enrichment and Diversity as well as Civic Leadership programs. Donors may also support the Campus Center by providing funds to enhance the facilities of the center.
