Campus Center Assessment

The Campus Center opened our doors on January 7, 2008 and from the very beginning our campus constituents have been using this great space. We continue to watch how the Campus Center is utilized by our students, staff, faculty members, alumni and guests as they gather in the meeting rooms, relax in the lounges throughout the facility, stop by for a meal or a quick bite, shop at Barnes & Noble or take advantage of the convenient location of the IMCU.

Clearly the students enjoy the "one stop" opportunity to seek the services of the Registrar, Student Financial Services, JagTag and the Barnes & Noble Bookstore. It has been a joyful experience to see the many high school students and their families start their exploration of the campus and IUPUI right here in the Admissions Center located in the Campus Center.

To better understand how we are doing, we conducted focus groups with students, staff and faculty during the Spring 2009 semester. Under the efforts of two graduate students and myself, student organization leaders and advisors, Campus Center partners (tenants), and non-IUPUI clients were asked to participate in a series of focus groups. The following document shares the process taken, the questions asked and the ideas, thoughts and suggestions made during the focus groups.

The Campus Center's administrative staff and Advisory Board have reviewed the document and the suggestions. The staff continuous to explore the suggestions and is making efforts to adapt current policy and procedure appropriately.
