The Office of Campus Recreation is designed to offer recreational, lifetime leisure and wellness opportunities to a diverse population of students, faculty and staff at IUPUI. The recreational programs promote healthy lifestyles through group fitness activities, wellness clinics, informal gym activities and weight training. Intramural programs include athletic, individual and team competitive sports designed to endorse a sense of campus life at IUPUI.

The Office of Campus Recreation has two goals:

  • Foster personal development.
  • Enrich the IUPUI learning experience.

INShape Indiana at IUPUI

INShape IUPUI is a program designed for senior level exercise science and fitness study majors to gain real life experience before starting their desired internship. Students are assessed on basic knowledge of skills, multiple fitness assessments, and their ability to integrate and apply information to training and working with a client towards a better and healthier lifestyle. Clients include IUPUI students, faculty and staff and members of the surrounding Indianapolis community.

INShape Indiana is a statewide health initiative that was started by Governor Mitch Daniels. INShape Indiana provides Hoosiers valuable resources to make healthy choices to eat better, move more, and quit smoking. More information about INShape Indiana can be found at www.in.gov/inshape/.

Rec Sports Membership

A Rec Sports Membership is your ticket to fitness facilities and classes at IUPUI. The recreation membership fee is an all inclusive fee that allows IUPUI student, faculty, and staff to use of the facilities recreationally for fitness and fun!
