Counseling & Psychological Services
A student's health plays an important role in success in the academic environment. Our campus offers many resources and opportunities for students to find assistance with health concerns.
Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) offers 6 FREE counseling sessions after payment of an initial $15.00 application fee. The professional staff of psychologists, counselors and graduate-student Interns can assist with a wide variety of personal concerns. Services are confidential, available to all IUPUI students, and available weekdays and by appointment during evening hours.

Facing the Loss
As the IUPUI community faces the loss of our student, friend, and colleague, Fernando Mercado, we know that an opportunity to talk can provide some comfort. CAPS’ staff will be available today, Friday, October 10, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Taylor Hall (UC2025 A and B) to provide that opportunity. The time is open to students, faculty, and staff – all of those touched by Fernando or impacted by his death.
Campus Crisis Resources
Faculty, staff, and student leaders are on the "front lines" working with students on a daily basis. It is these vital members of the IUPUI community that see the personal stresses and struggles that many of our students face. In fact, it is through faculty and staff that most students find their way to IUPUI CAPS. Faculty, staff, and student leaders are often the "first responders" to students in distress.
