eCHECKUP TO GO Programs

As a result of funding from the General Fee Advisory Council, IUPUI Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) contracted the eCHECKUP TO GO programs for alcohol and marijuana for use by the IUPUI community for the academic year 2010-11.

The eCHECKUP TO GO programs are personalized, evidence-based, online prevention interventions for Alcohol & Marijuana developed by counselors and psychologists at San Diego State University.

When you access either e-CheckUpToGo, you will be prompted to enter demographic information, information about your use of alcohol or marijuana, spending patterns, and your lifestyle. Once completed, you will receive feedback and comparisons between your responses and national and IUPUI norms. Information includes:

  • Quantity and Frequency of Use
  • Amount Consumed
  • Normative Comparisons
  • Physical Health Information

The Alcohol e-CheckUp was designed, and is updated with the most current and reliable research available.

Join Together Alcohol Screening

Is drinking alcohol harming my health now, or will it be harmful to me later in life? Should I stop drinking alcohol? Am I a binge drinker? Most adults who drink alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, or liquor) consume safe and healthy amounts. For others, unsafe drinking patterns increase their risk for injury, illness or future alcohol problems. And, for 1 in 13 American adults, alcohol abuse or alcohol dependence (alcoholism) causes substantial harm to their health and disruption in their lives.

If you consume alcoholic beverages, it's important to know whether your drinking patterns are safe, risky or harmful. Answering these questions will take only a few minutes, and will generate personalized results based on your age, gender and drinking patterns. Your responses are completely confidential and anonymous.
