Councils

Greek Council

The Greek Governing Council, a new concept at IUPUI, serves as the umbrella organization bringing all chapters together for the advancement or Fraternity and Sorority Life at IUPUI and in Indianapolis. The council has already begun to indentify a numbers of areas that are of interest to the Greek community such as the late night policy, the sale of paraphernalia on campus, and the exploration of more public recognition of Greeks on campus.

Interfraternity Council (IFC)

The Interfraternity Council is the governing and coordinating body of the three IFC fraternities supporting the IFC fraternity men, and serveing the IUPUI Community. The council is in its initial stages of development and currently in the process of drafting it’s constitution and bylaws. The vision for the council is to be a "United, self-governed community that is a driving force of campus life at IUPUI."

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)

The National Pan-Hellenic Council consists of the 7 Historically Black Greek Letter Organizations at IUPUI. Starting out as the Black Greek Council, the council formally switched its name to NPHC in late 2005. Still in its youth, the IUPUI NPHC is making unprecedented strides to improve the council, its member organizations, and the IUPUI Greek community at large.

Panhellenic Council (Panhel or Panhellenic)

The Panhellenic Council exists to promote the values of and advocate for its member organizations through collaboration on campus and in the community . The council provides support and guidance for sororities/women’s fraternities by serving as the voice on contemporary issues of sorority life.

IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
