The posted rates are effective July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 by action of the Indiana University Board of Trustees. The 2010-2011 rates will not be determined until Spring 2010.
Ball Residence Hall is a traditional co-ed residence hall housing 301 freshman students. Residents entering Ball Hall must be IUPUI first year students under the age of 21 with no more than 12 credit hours. All resident rooms include twin beds, desks and chairs, dressers, closet, window blinds, waste baskets. Air conditioning units are not allowed. Ball Residence Hall is closed for winter break. During this time residents are allowed to leave their belongings in their room, but must vacate the building.
Rates are per semester, per person, and include all utilities, including local telephone, high speed internet services and basic cable television. Additional mandatory charges include:

The Campus Apartments on the Riverwalk, housing 739 residents, features private bedrooms within One, Two, or Four Bedroom apartments. Apartments are approximately 500 to 1250 square feet, are fully furnished, and include private bath(s). Each bedroom includes a full-size bed, desk, chair and chest of drawers. Living space includes a sofa, arm chair, entertainment center, end tables and dinette with chairs. Basic appliances include refrigerator, stove, full-size washer/dryer, dishwasher, and microwave. All apartments are equipped with individual heating and cooling systems.

The Townhomes at IUPUI, house 60 residents. These one and two bedroom units average between 650-800 sq. feet and feature private individual entrances. One bedroom units have one double occupancy bedroom. Two bedroom units have one double occupancy bedroom and one single occupancy bedroom. All resident rooms include twin beds, desks, chairs and dressers. Communal living space includes a sofa, entertainment center, end tables and dinette with chairs. Basic appliances include refrigerator, stove and full-size washer/dryer.

Single, double, or triple rooms in Ball Residence. LYFE provides programs and services intentionally designed to meet the unique needs of first year residential students. By participating in LYFE, students will experience success in a dynamic living and learning environment. As well as receiving assistance from LYFE Leaders, students will have access to the LYFE resource center to aid in their transition to college. The option to become a LYFE Scholar, with increased faculty interaction and a discount on next year’s housing. Four bedroom/two bath apartments. International House is open to students and scholars from all over the world, including the U.S. Residents and are selected on the basis of their enthusiasm and potential for contribution to a cross-cultural learning environment and commitment to International House principles. Residents organize programs on global issues for the campus. I-House, along with the International Club, co-sponsors the weekly International Culture Hours every Friday, typically 15-20 countries are represented each year. Four bedroom/two bath apartments. Purdue House is available to freshman through graduate level students enrolled in the School of Engineering and Technology. Planned social activities provide excellent opportunities for a wide array of interaction and peer mentoring. Access to a 24 hour computer lab with relevant software for engineering and technology is provided for residents. Two bedroom/two bath apartments. WIS is available for science students of varying class years and majors. The WIS House programming immerses students in an environment that is conducive to learning with an emphasis on the particular needs of science students. With academic activities that enhance educational success, provide research learning experiences, and facilitate mentoring and networking. Students will be provided with the opportunity for financial assistance through scholarships, stipends and internships. Four bedroom/two bath apartments. Herron House provides a supportive, creative residential environment for students who attend Herron School of Art and Design. Herron House fosters academic, personal, and creative excellence by establishing strong ties to the Herron School, IUPUI, and the Indianapolis artistic community. Residents at Herron House are provided with the opportunity to live with other art and design students and participate in social and cultural activities relevant to the pursuit of their degrees. Two bedroom/two bath apartments. Kelley House is available to students who are majoring in Business. Students residing in Kelley House have the chance to get involved in special academic, social, and cultural programs organized by the Resident Assistant, Office of Housing & Residence Life, and Kelley School of Business Academic Programs Office. The Resident Assistant is an undergraduate student who resides on campus and serves as a resource, mentor, and guide for students living in Kelley House. Two bedroom/two bath apartments. A full-time Resident Assistant who serves as a mentor, guide, and resource person for residents, lives onsite and assists in program development and implementation as well as meeting the individual needs of each of our residents. The Honors Program also maintains an onsite office to provide academic advising, administrative assistance, and special program support for residents. Regularly scheduled social and academic events and programming build a strong sense of community and supplement classroom activities. Leadership opportunities are available through the Honors House Council that oversees House activities and provides direction for the continued growth and development of Honors House.
