LYFE Resources

On-site Academic Advising

The onsite academic advisor's goal and responsibility is to help the students navigate through their first-year college experience and provide a healthy learning environment that enables students to accomplish their academic goals. Students may schedule advising appointments or come into the office as a walk-in. The students at Ball Residence Hall have full access to on-site academic advising Monday through Wednesday. The advisor is available to help students with issues regarding career/major guidance, change of major, adding/dropping courses, class selection/registration, and much more.

LYFE Resource Center

The LYFE Resource Center, located in Ball Hall room 134, offers a variety of resources aimed at helping students become more successful. The Resource Center offers the following tools and study tips:

• Citation handbooks
• Study skills tips and handouts
• Small collection of class textbooks (can not be checked out)
• Campus resource information

The LRC is also where the Academic Adviser's office is located.

Academic Mentoring

The LYFE program will be working in collaboration with the Bepko Learning Center to provide a select number of academic mentoring sessions in Ball Residence Hall. The selection of mentoring sessions available will change depending on the need for each semester.

Study Tables

The LYFE Leaders will host nightly 2-hour study tables which offer students the opportunity to have a quiet studying environment. This provides students the advantage of possibly forming study groups, clarifying questions, and having an accountable block of time to devote to studying each day. Days, times, and locations of the study tables will be posted at the beginning of each semester on the LYFE Resource Center door.
