Volunteer & Service Events

Service and the City

August 26, 2011

During the Weeks of Welcome, join us for a day-long leadership and community service experience, complete with a guided bus tour of Indianapolis, lunch with community leaders, and hands-on service at a local non-profit agency. This opportunity is ideal for first year students and those who are new to Indianapolis/IUPUI, as well as those who are interested in civic leadership. Lunch and t-shirt are provided. Registration is limited to the first 100 participants.

Here are some great reasons to participate:

  • Learn about Indianapolis and take a tour of the city!
  • Connect with other IUPUI students!
  • Spend a few hours making a difference!
  • Get a free lunch and a cool t-shirt!

Register now for this year's Service and the City on Friday, August 26th from 9:00 am–5:00 pm. Check-in will take place from 8:30–9:00 am in CE450 A, but you must be registered before the event.

For more information on Service and the City contact the Office of Community Service or the Office of Student Involvement in CE 370, or call (317) 274-3931.

Individuals needing more information or auxiliary aids for communication or assistance for access or accommodation should contact Patty Mathison, Coordinator of the Office of Community Service at (317) 278-2504, or pmathiso@iupui.edu at least three days prior to the event.
