Office of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct

What we do

Individual rights are best protected by a collective commitment to mutual respect. We have a social contract with each other. Without this contract and without these obligations and responsibilities, personal rights are jeopardized. Our responsibilities and obligations to one another preserve our individual rights and freedoms and promote our collective values. For these reasons, the Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct was created.

As an extension of the Dean’s Office, the Office of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct (SRRC) is responsible for establishing and administering the Code by managing the university’s judicial system. This office investigates and adjudicates reports against students involved in alleged violations of the Code. The office also promotes the rights of students to exercise fully the freedom to learn in an accepting, safe and civil environment.
