Web Reservations
The IUPUI campus community now has a new service through the Campus Center. Reservations for meeting rooms can be made online by going to rooms.iupui.edu. Additionally, clients will be able to look at availability on a specific date. You will still need to reserve Information Tables, Atrium, Pre-function Lounge, Gallery, and the Multipurpose Room by completing the Campus Center Room Request Form.
Power Savings
Campus Facilities Services and the Campus Center are pleased to announce a power savings initiative in respect to the escalators located in the Campus Center. Effective Wednesday, October, 28th, the escalators at the Campus Center will be turned off at the time the building closes each night and turned back on when the Campus Center opens to the public each morning. The escalators will also remain off any time the Campus Center is closed to the public including, but not limited to semester breaks and federal holidays.
Campus Center Building Services staff will be responsible for blocking off the escalators once they have been turned off by the Campus Center staff. Additionally, the Building Services staff will remove the barriers when the units have been turned on in the morning by the Campus Center staff. It should be noted that once the escalator units have been shut off, anyone in the building must use either the elevators or stairs to move between floors.
This power saving initiative will reduce wear and tear on the units and save the University approximately $5,000 annually in utility costs.
